Sarasota Workshops a Success

Almost two weeks at a tiny air bnb in hot Sarasota fueled my growth once again. The art intensives allow a cauldron like experience--we learn quickly and the group dynamic fuels a supportive group atmosphere. Advanced oils fueled new learning with backgrounds, as a misty multi layered atmosphere began to swirl on my canvas. These skills are  within my grasp, and a raven winged woman (symbolizing rising to transform) leaps up and hangs suspended in a world of misty possiblity. Ellie Milan and Constantino taught, constantly rotating around the group offering support.

I practiced double exposure techniques over the next four days in an almost done painting, and finished at an Advanced Floral workshop with Dimitra and Constantino. At the second workshop my skills at integrating realism into abstraction improved, I gained skill with a palette knife, and I learned how to tackle a rose. My art notched up a level and I am excited to use my upgraded skills.
